This sterling silver St. Christopher pendant is enclosed in a beautiful box, comes with a Rhodium, lite curb chain and is 7/8" X 3/8". The St. Christopher medallion features the saint with Jesus on his shoulders, wading in water. This medallion is not oval, but rather is cut out in the shape of his body.
St. Christopher offered his services at a dangerous stream to all travelers to see them safely across it. Our Lord came to him one stormy night and asked to be transported across. Christopher did so. However, on the journey, Christ became heavier and heavier, so that Christopher almost sank and couldn't complete the crossing. Once they had reached the other side, Christopher asked why the child had become so heavy. Our Lord replied that Christopher had just carried the weight of the world on his shoulders.
