This sterling silver St. Gianna medallion is 1" X 3/4" and comes in an alluring box. It has a stainless silver, heavy curb chain. The St. Gianna pendant shows her bust with the prayer, "St. Gianna, Pray for Us" around the edge. This St. Gianna medal can be engraved with a message on the back. St. Gianna lived in the 20th century. She was a doctor and a mother. During her fourth pregnancy, she developed a tumor which threatened either her life or that of her child. She chose to sacrifice her own life, and she died shortly after her daughter's birth. She is the patron saint of mothers, physicians and the unborn.
