St. Charles Borromeo was one of the holiest men of his age. He was needed by the Church to make sure that the reforms of the Council of Trent were enacted and followed. He especially concerned himself with his own diocese of Milan and gave a great example of how these reforms should be made. He is the patron saint of catechists and seminarians.
