Novena in Honor of the Blessed Sacrament

A novena is nine days of devotional prayer. It recalls the time of prayer observed by Mary, the Apostles and other Disciples of Jesus between Ascension Thursday and Pentecost Sunday. These nine days before the gift of the spirit set the tradition for a novena of special prayer.
