Saint Dominic was a Spanish priest, and the founder of the Dominican Order. St. Dominic recognized that the church needed to change, and his order helped it to re-connect with ordinary Catholics. This is perhaps his greatest achievement. His order, the Dominican Order, is still helping Catholics today. Saint Dominic urged Catholics to pray devoutly and rule wisely over their passions. Dominic was also influential in spreading devotion to the Rosary.
