This gold-filled St. Kateri pendant is 3/4" X 5/8", has a gold-filled, lite curb chain and is enclosed in an appealing box. The St. Kateri medallion shows her praying before a crucifix, and standing in a mountain scene. St. Kateri was a Mohawk girl. When she was young her parents died and she was raised by her aunt and uncle, who did not want the Jesuits preaching in their midst. She secretly converted to Christianity, however, and soon left for a Catholic community of Native Americans. She is the patron saint of the environment. This St. Kateri medal would be a great gift for someone with a devotion to her.
