This gold-filled St. Christopher pendant is encased in an alluring box, comes with a stainless gold, heavy curb chain and has the dimensions of 1" X 5/8". The St. Christopher medallion features the saint with Jesus on his shoulders wading through water. Around the edge is the prayer "St. Christopher, Be My Guide". It is a square medal, not oval.
One stormy night, a disguised Jesus came to St. Christopher and asked to be carried across the perilous river at which the saint was a ferryman. During the crossing, the child grew heavier and heavier. Afterwards, Christopher asked why this was so, and Christ said that the saint had borne the weight of the world on his shoulders.
