This gold-filled St. Christopher pendant is encased in an appealing box, comes with a stainless gold, heavy curb chain and has the dimensions of 1 3/4" X 1 1/2". The St. Christopher medallion features the saint with Jesus on his shoulders. Around the edge it reads "Behold St. Christopher and Go Your Way in Safety". It is diamond-shaped, not oval.
St. Christopher was strong, so he lived by a perilous river and carried travelers across. One stormy night Christ came to him disguised as a child and asked to be carried across. Christopher did so. He had a difficult time because Christ grew heavier and heavier as the crossing went on. He is the patron of motorists and travelers.
