Pope John Paul II
Saint Pope John Paul II was one of the giants of the Twentieth Century. He helped changed the world by his involvement in the downfall of Communism, and was a massive spiritual force for good. He urged the faithful to keep the faith and trust in God: “I plead with you – never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be not afraid.” As a modern saint, Pope John Paul II's influence is still strongly felt by the Catholic world today.
