These are very unique medals because they are in the shape of a cross, but on each arm of the cross is a different depiction. This type of medallion serves several purposes. Firstly, to remind us of the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Secondly, to recall the various saints, protectors and intercessors we have to pray to when we are in need.
